Here is our next outdoor kitchen project. We will fully demo this existing stone over block assembly. It was never set to drain and the stone is crumbling and always a problem. We will frame back with pressure treated lumber, clad in thin brick. Amer will demo and haul away the existing. Then he will frame the new. We are not changing the floor so the new must fit on the existing footprint. The thin brick cladding can overlap. I want to be sure that it will be watertight and still have so way to drain. There will be new granite tops. I have worked with these folks for a long time. We need to be extra careful to work cleaning, tarp the area for demo and clean up as though we had never been there. We will adjust field measurements as needed but the dimensions indicated are close enough for planning. We are replacing the grill and side burner as well as adding new stainless doors and drawer units as indicated. We are also replacing the iron table/shelf unit with a brick “cabinet” for her gardening use.

I will select the brick veneer and stone for the tops this week. Currently the back side of the “kitchen” has a very messy stucco. I want to put brick there as well.
