The Advisory Call
Sometimes you just need an hour with someone who knows what they are talking about.
Not a salesperson. Not your builder trying to protect his schedule. Not a designer who wants to sell you a full engagement. Just an experienced, independent professional who will listen to what you are dealing with and tell you the truth.
That is what this is.
One hour. Your agenda. People use this call for things like:
You are unsure of the order in which you should make selections for your project
How do you know if your allowances will be adequate to get the home you want in your construction contract
You are trying to decide between two floor plans and cannot make the call
You are about to select cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, or finishes and want a professional eye before you spend the money
Is this the home I want?
You are acting as your own general contractor and need help thinking through scheduling, sequencing, or subcontractor decisions
You just need someone to help you think clearly about a decision that feels overwhelming
If it has to do with building, renovating, or designing a home — we can talk about it.
What This Is Not
This is not a sales call. We will not spend your hour trying to convince you to hire us for a larger engagement. If at the end of the call that makes sense we will tell you — but that is not the agenda.
This is also not a general consultation with deliverables. You will not receive a written report, marked-up drawings, or a formal recommendation document. What you will receive is one focused, honest, experienced hour — and most people find that is exactly what they needed.

A Note on Experience
Alexander Dahlgren-Jawad founded The Ancon Group in Dallas in 1989. For more than 35 years he has worked at the intersection of architecture, interior design, and construction — on projects ranging from single room renovations to complete custom homes. He has seen nearly every mistake a homeowner can make before building or renovating, and more importantly he knows how to help you avoid them.
If you have been following his work on TikTok or social media, you already know how he thinks. This is that same directness, applied specifically to your project.
